Scientifically Proven Ways To Be Happier

Researchers lead by Jennifer Aker of Stanford University say that they examined 60 academic studies and drew links which are a guide to individual happiness. Their findings include the following: 1. Spend time with the “right” people who you enjoy the most; 2. Avoid small talk and gossip as it tends to make people unhappy; 3. Spend time on socially connecting activities such as volunteering and spending time with friends. Work or study friends don’t count; 4. Day Dream. Research shows that thinking about something happy or pleasurable can make you happy; 5. Expand your time. Slow down a bit and enjoy things more.
