Researchers as Worcester Polytech have reported strong findings from a small clinical study that cranberry juice blocks a strain of Staphylococcus aureus from beginning the process of infection in lab studies. Urine samples from subjects who had recently consumed cranberry juice significantly reduced the ability of both S. auereus and E.coli to form on the surface of petri dishes. The lab study is the beginning of further studies to see the effects of cranberry juice on infection.
