Researchers at Kansas University have found that aerobic exercise staves off the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. “Heavy exercise appears to be protective of cognitive function,” says David K. Johnson, Assistant Professor of psychology and research scientist in gerontology. In neuroimaging studies at the Alzheimer’s and Memory Program at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, aerobic workouts showed positive effects.sweat
