AVATAR THE FILM AND AVATAR THE VIDEO GAME

In a couple of weeks, James Cameron’s film AVATAR will be released in 3D. This unique melding of digital imaging and live action will also be attendant with the release of a dynamic video game of the same name. The video game uses the same themes and characters found in the film as its basis and the makers of the film and video game developers engaged in a unique collaboration which is expected to create a unique model for cross development of games and films in the future. Posted on the site are the trailers for both. Please let me know your thoughts on this genre.

We just saw this film and left energized and amazed that it was so appealing! In spite of the fact that some names and terms used in the film seemed less than unique eg. “Pandora” I loved the film and expect that it will impact fashion design, color schemes, and future films. The 3-D was quite effective. It is a must see!
