In addition, I can appreciate the importance of marketplace competition when it comes to purcashing goods and services. Also, I don’t want to appear to be a blind jingoist anti foreigner American. That having been said, I am waiting for a solid, safe economical vehicle to come out of Detroit and when it does, I will test out the car and engage in a comparison analysis and if I like it, I am going to start a “buy American” campaign around this product. Our nation is still back on its heels from the sub-prime mortgage and derivatives scandal, perpetrated by the Wall Street gang of maggots and enabled by the Washington political hoodlums who underwote the fraud and theft via de-regulation. Hopefully, we kick the bumbs out and some go to jail. That, however is past. We can’t let it happen again but we also can’t wallow around without getting together–the people that is–to make some changes where we can. If Detroit is adroit enough to give us a competitive product and I think it will, why the hell shouldn’t we buy American for a change? Change is the operative word. Change in Washington will come slowly, if at all. The monied interests still have a lock on the crooks in office and in the mean time, we the consumers can do our part to re-invigorate our economy by strengthening those companies in our nation, who come up to speed. (excuse the pun) but deserve our dollars. The vehicle I speak about will have to use very little fossil fuel, will have to be safe and efficient and with a great damned warranty and some really neat technology. So comon Detroit–give us something to fight for. Give us a car which will make us all proud to say : “WE BOUGHT AMERICAN!”
